Ken Bennett is a 1979 graduate of Wabash College and a 1982 graduate of Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.. He has been a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, including its Nursing Home Litigation Group. He has also been a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, including its Elder Law Section, and a long-time member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

Ken has served as the Editor of the NAELA Journal, which is the legal journal of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He previously served as President of the Alzheimer’s Association Central Indiana Chapter, and as Chairman of the United Senior Action Foundation. He has also served on the adjunct faculty of the Indiana University School of Liberal Arts at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis teaching Constitutional Law.

He is a frequent continuing education speaker on guardianship, nursing home, and elder law topics. He has been an invited speaker to groups as diverse as the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, National Citizens’ Coalition for Nursing Home Reform, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the United States Department of Justice, the Michigan Trial Lawyer’s Association, the Maine State Bar Association, and Stetson Law School.

Ken previously served as President of the Board of Directors for the United Senior Action Foundation. Ken currently serves as President of the Indiana State Guardianship Association. He also serves as the President and CEO of a new non-profit public interest law firm known as The Center for At-Risk Elders, Inc. (“CARE”)
